Just as your Mom knew that her marriage to me wouldn't last, I intuitively had the same feelings. Marriage is a raging river, always difficult to navigate. When a marriage unravels and then ends, it is painful to everyone involved . . . perhaps more for the children than for the adults. I'll add more later if I can.
