Learned a new word...and that I could write a book on the topic of sex at certain ages. The training of good-girl in the 50's early 60's culture I absorbed from television shows was 'you must be a virgin when you marry or no decent man will ever want you.' And I forgot I had that programming but definitely acted from the unconscious about this. I have a whole new idea of why this suddenly arose (roaring 20's didn't have it lol) is that a virgin has no way to compare...anything.
Early 50s into Post-menopausal, while not always 100% safe (there are those surprise late in life babies), the idea that you no longer have to worry about conceiving is extremely liberating. I actually met the best lover (and he was 8 years older) and had the most amazing experience during that timeframe.
I agree, and I forgot to mention, I had a small scare with that wonderful lover and went to the gyno who announced my 'eggs are no longer viable.' I will tell you that this is a very surprisingly disturbing thing to here. No choice anymore. Reality bites. 😉
