Things Mentioned in This Episode

What if the wisdom you’ve been seeking isn’t out there, but already living in your bones?

That’s the question at the heart of today’s conversation with my friend Laura Wade, a Soul to Goal Guide who helps women move from striving to thriving. We met through women’s lunches and free Reiki clinics here in the Roanoke Valley, and every time Laura speaks, I feel my shoulders drop. She has a way of returning you to yourself—gently, clearly, without the performative sparkle that personal growth can sometimes wear.

Laura’s path began in the 90s with transformational trainings, A Course in Miracles, and eventually certification as a Passion Test facilitator in 2007. The throughline, though, isn’t the certifications. It’s the moment she describes as the shift from seeker to sage: the recognition that books and teachers can point—but your deepest knowing rises from within.

We talked about “Soul to Goal”—how to marry the inner compass with tangible steps. Not grind, not hustle, but aligned action: the kind that follows a felt sense rather than a checklist. (If you’ve ever traveled with a rigid itinerary, you know how quickly it kills the magic. Same with life.) Laura’s invitation is to start with feeling—what you truly want to experience—then reverse-engineer gentle, practical steps that honor it. The map matters, but the detours are often divine.

A big piece of her work is worthiness and self-love. Many of us can name our passions, but a quiet voice still whispers, “Do I deserve this?” Laura meets that place with mindset work, language shifts, and practices that move you out of lack and into gratitude-driven presence. We also talked manifestation without the pressure cooker: allowing yourself to align with what already is, rather than chasing what seems out of reach. (If you’ve ever named a feeling you longed for—ease, joy, belonging—and realized, days later, you were already tasting it… you know the texture of this truth.)

We explored readiness too—the difference between those wired to leap and those who need baby steps. Neither is more spiritual. Both are courageous. The point is to keep faith with your soul while choosing the next right-sized action that your nervous system can actually hold.

And because community is medicine, Laura created Ready • Set • Reset, a seasonal online circle beginning November 10. It’s designed as a warm landing pad before the holiday rush: review and celebrate the year (we skip that part far too often), tend your energy and self-care, then revision from a calm center. In January, the Vision Board Party becomes a ritual of embodiment—less magazine collage, more feeling-forward design. Think “How do I want to feel?” rather than “What should I achieve?”

If you’re in a season of becoming—if the old map feels too small and the new one isn’t fully drawn—this episode is a hand to hold. You don’t have to prove your readiness. You can simply begin. The sage in you is already awake.

Much love,
Sarah
